Michelle Sholtis is a ceramic sculptor currently living in New York City. Michelle has studied at the University of Dayton, Penland School of Crafts and the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts. Her sculptures have been exhibited in galleries across the United States. Michelle’Äôs sculptural work derives inspiration from the clean shapes and lines of nature. The fluidity of form disguising the function remind the viewer of nature’Äôs underlying relevance in our daily lives. Inspiration comes to Michelle from the dandelion seed, the splash of a stone breaking the waters surface, moss clinging to the cool bark of a tree and the universal elegance of nature’Äôs design.
